Integration Courses

Integration Courses

Integration courses are designed for people like you who wish to live in Germany on a long-term basis, learn German and familiarize themselves with German culture. These courses are subsidized by the state. In the language course, you will learn German together with 20 to 25 people from various countries, while the orientation course provides you with information about German culture, society and the legal system. At the end of the integration course, you will finish the language section with the language test “Deutschtest für Zuwanderer (DTZ)” (German Test for Immigrants) and the orientation section with the test “Leben in Deutschland (LiD)” (Living in Germany). After successful completion of both tests you will receive the “Zertifikat Integrationskurs” (Integration Course Certificate). This may be important for your naturalization, your settlement permit, the permit for permanent residence EU, the extension of your residence permit or for the start of a subsidized B2 German course (Professional Language Course).
